squid / Kanava / Koonthal Roast

Ingredients

Cleaned Squid-1/2 kg
Big Onion-3 big
Tomato-2 medium size
Green chilly-3
Curry leaves-1string
Chilly Powder-3/4 tsp
Coconut Oil
Ginger-1 big piece
Garlic-4-5
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Salt-to taste


Method
1.Clean and cut the squid in round shape and keep aside
2.Heat oil in a pan and add onion slices ,green chilly,ginger,garlic and curry leaves.Add salt to taste
3.Saute well till the onion become light brown in colour.
4.Then add all powder and saute till its raw smell goes .
5.Now add the tomato,and let it cook.
6.Now add the squid and stir well ..Cook untile done,also when all the water is evaporated remove from fire.

Koonthal roast adipoli, Beena..Enikku koonthal eshtamannu pakshe hubbykku athra eshtam pora. athu karanam oru thavana mathrame prepare cheythittullu..pakshe I am sure he would love this roast. Next time koonthal medikkumbol try cheythittu parayame..

This is my fav too...looks very delicious...my grandma usually chops the squid to small pieces...nice presentation dear :)

My favorite... we get too big ones here and the store guys wont clean it.. so orikkal maathrame try cheythittullo.. shall try this next time when we get smaller ones :)
