Chicken Curuma


1. Chicken -1Kg
2. Onion-chopped-4 nos.
3. Green Chillies sliced-5 nos.
4. Ginger-chopped-1piece
5. Garlic-chopped-6 cloves
6. Cinnamon Pieced (Patta)-1 piece
7. Cardamon Seeds (Elakka)-4 nos.
8. Aniseed (Perinjeerakam)-1 tsp
9. Turmeric Powder-1 tsp
10.Coconut greated -1/2 cup
11.Pepper Powder-1/2 tsp
12.Cashew Nuts paste 25grm
13.Coriander Leaves -chopped 1/2cup
14.Oil 3 tsp
15.Salt to taste 1tsp


1. Heat oil in a pan,fry onion till golden brown.
2. Add Green Chillies, Ginger, Garlic, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Turmeric and pepper powder and stir it well for 5 minutes.Now add chicken to it and stir for another 5 minutes.
3. Grind Coconut to fine paste. Add Aniseed to it befor grinding.
4. Now add it to chicken with half cup water and salt. Cook until its done.
5. When the chicken has cooked add Cashew Nuts paste and cook it in a slow fire for 5 minutes.
6. Garnish with coriander leaves.
7. Serve it hot.
